On December 7th, beginning at 7:00pm, Poetry Night at the Outdoor Café is pleased to announce that Marty McConnell will be our featured poet. She will be reading from her most recent poetry collection “when they say you can’t go home again, what they mean is you were never there,” which won the 2017 Michael Waters Poetry Prize.

Following Marty’s reading, Juli Wood and her sax will entertain during the musical interlude. Juli has established herself as a swinging and entertaining performer who has played city-wide, nationally and internationally.

An open mic will follow Juli’s performance. Please bring a few poems to read at the open mic.

Future features, open mics, and other literary and musical events will take place every 1st and 3rd Friday of each month, 7:00pm to 9:00pm. Street parking is available. Enjoy the conviviality of the Outdoor Café, its fine selection of coffee, tea, desserts, sandwiches, great poetry and great music.
